It’s been made clear that Superman is not an origin story, but rather explores the emotional journey that Kryptonian Kal-El embarks on as he goes from Smallville, Kansas, as Clark Kent, to the big city of Metropolis. Not only does Clark grapple with living among humans, but he’s compelled by the virtues he holds dear to protect humankind as a superhero among men. Unfortunately, sometimes Clark’s best intentions land him in the hottest water, and as he soars to notoriety, Superman catches the attention of tech billionaire Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult). When Lex sets his sights on taking down Superman, Clark will have to stand up with the fearless Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Krypto the Superdog, and a group of superhumans to fight against Lex’s forces.
