The first trailer for Project Hail Mary blasted onto screens everywhere last week, and not only did it garner acclaim from fans of the book and newcomers alike, but it also smashed a major viewership record. Amazon MGM has announced that the first Project Hail Mary trailer, which introduces Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, earned over 400 million views during its first week. This is more than any original (non-sequel or remake) film in history. In addition to Ryan Gosling, Sandra Hüller will also star in Project Hail Mary as the determined Eva Stratt, with Liz Kingsman, Milana Vayntrub, James Ortiz, and Ken Leung also starring in the film. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (Spider-Verse) directed the film, which is coming to theaters next year on March 20.
