Netflix Shares a Surprising ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 Update

That’s a wrap! Season 4 of Bridgerton has officially come to an end. Taking to social media to share the incredibly good news, Netflix sent a message to fans with the help of a few familiar faces. Ever cheeky, the streamer’s social media team wrote in their caption, “You may now loosen your corsets. That’s a wrap on Bridgerton Season 4.” Showing their transitions from sky-high wigs, tightened corsets, top hats, suits, and colorful gowns to modern street wear, members of the cast, including Nicola Coughlan and Adjoa Andoh bounce in and out of their trailers in the short but sweet teaser, celebrating yet another job well done and another season in the books.

Even though filming has literally just ended, Julia Quinn, the author behind the beloved book series, has already seen bits and pieces of what’s to come. As of right now, the series hasn’t set a date for its comeback, although it’s expected to land on screens sometime in 2026, but when you’re the reason the period drama exists in the first place, they usually let you read and watch a thing or two. Teasing what’s to come, Quinn said,

“I’ve read all the scripts, and I’ve seen some of the episodes. I did get to see a few scenes get filmed, and the one that they were working on most of the time was a group scene. So there are a lot of people in it. That’s always really special to see because one of the things that I think the show does so well is capture the sense of family and to be able to see that, sort of, live or close to live.”

What To Expect From the Future of ‘Bridgerton’

Over the last few years, Bridgerton has risen through the ranks to become one of Netflix’s biggest titles. Right up there with other favorites, such as Squid Game and Stranger Things, the studio knows that when a new season rolls out, the viewership numbers roll in. This was likely why Netflix made a huge decision and called for the title to be renewed for a fifth and sixth season back in May, which is at least several months before Season 4 graces our screens.

As for what to expect from the next set of episodes, we know that things will take on a fairytale-like storyline that will largely follow Luke Thompson’s Benedict Bridgerton and Yerin Ha’s Sophie Baek.

Check out the wrap teaser above and stay tuned to Collider for more about Bridgerton’s fourth season.
