The dino DNA is back in theaters with Universal Pictures’ Jurassic World Rebirth, which reinvigorates the Jurassic Park film franchise started in 1993 by Steven Spielberg. But after just one weekend in theaters, Rebirth has passed up one of Spielberg’s most acclaimed films at the box office: the film has now grossed more than the iconic director’s 1977 UFO classic, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
