The recent success of Brad Pitt’s latest blockbuster has spurred Apple to pursue a major opportunity that could change the face of its company. A new report from The Financial Times claims that Apple is in “active” talks to acquire the rights to broadcast F1 races on its platform. F1 is currently hung up in a deal with ESPN that’s due to expire next year, and as the sport has continued to rise in popularity, it’s no surprise that big bidders are circling. If the deal takes hold for Apple, F1 races would begin streaming on the platform in 2026. But, Apple is reportedly not the only one bringing big money to the table — The Financial Times also reports that there are other companies with deep pockets looking to acquire the sport’s broadcast rights as well.
