Whether you know him from Grey’s Anatomy, Euphoria, or something completely different, Eric Dane has made his way onto living room television sets and cinematic screens throughout the course of his fruitful career. Sadly, the actor recently revealed that he had been diagnosed with ALS, telling Good Morning America’s Diane Sawyer that the disease had left him with “one functioning arm.” With his ailment in mind, audiences are wondering how much he’ll be able to do in the future, specifically when it comes to his newest series, Countdown, which premieres on Prime Video on June 25. Although it has yet to receive a Season 2 renewal, there’s a good chance that, with the dynamite cast that also includes Jensen Ackles and Jessica Camacho, and the story from creator and showrunner Derek Haas, the studio will be ordering more episodes.
While speaking with Parade about his latest foray into television, Haas opened up about how he plans to incorporate Dane in future installments, revealing,
“My thought is I will take any Eric Dane that I can get. I absolutely adore him, and I adore the character. If he says, ‘I am up for X, I will make X happen.’ I love him and it’s going to be up to him. The ball’s going to be in Eric’s court, and I will take anything that he wants [to do].”
