‘Clayface’ Finds Its Lead in ‘The Gentleman’ Star

DC Studios has found its Clayface. Tom Rhys Harris has been cast as the titular character in the upcoming movie produced by DC Studios and Warner Bros. The companies havee been looking for the protagonist of this story for months, after it was announced that James Watkins would be directing the highly-anticipated project. No other actors for the Clayface movie have been announced. The film is expected to dive into principal photography in the near future, with a September 11, 2026 release date announced for the movie.

Tom Rhys Harries is getting ready to become one of the most strange villains from Batman’s roster. The original Clayface from the pages of DC Comics, Basil Karlo, is a moderately successful actor who becomes a murderer after he isn’t allowed to star in the remake of one of his movies. Modern iterations of the character, such as the one seen in Batman: The Animated Series and the Batman: Arkham video games, gain shape-shifting abilities. The fact that the actor can look like anyone makes him a dangerous threat to everyone around him.

The upcoming Clayface movie wasn’t announced when James Gunn and Peter Safran revealed their initial plans for the first chapter of the DC Universe.
