Chris Pratt will always be known for playing Star Lord in the MCU, but another of his most famous projects has returned to streaming charts and is quietly dominating its competition. Pratt stars alongside Bryce Dallas Howard and Jeff Goldblum in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the 2018 dinosaur adventure following Owen and Claire’s journey to rescue the dinosaurs from the island after a volcanic eruption. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, along with the rest of the Jurassic World movies, is currently streaming on Peacock, and it’s one of the 10 most popular movies on the streamer in several countries, such as the United States and Mexico. The film grossed $1.3 billion at the box office against a $170 million budget, and it earned “rotten” scores of 47% from critics and 48% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
After Colin Trevorrow directed the first Jurassic World movie, J.A. Bayona was brought on to helm the sequel, but Universal switched back to Trevorrow for the final installment, Jurassic World Dominion. Trevorrow did, however, help write the script for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, along with Derek Connolly. Bayona’s first directorial work after his Jurassic World movie came from directing two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 1 for Prime Video. He followed that up two years ago by helming Society of the Snow, the R-rated docudrama currently streaming on Netflix. In addition to Pratt, Howard, and Goldblum, Rafe Spall also stars in Jurassic World 2 as Eli Mills, with Justice Smith playing Franklin Webb, Toby Jones playing Mr. Eversoll, and BD Wong playing Dr. Wu.
