Before the New ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer,’ Final Girl Jennifer Love Hewitt Kills It With New Collection From BFFs & Babes

One of the biggest slasher franchises of the ’90s is about to return. Horror fans will be making the trip to Southport later this month with the next installment of I Know What You Did Last Summer. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are both making a killer comeback for the legacy sequel. Also, with The Fisherman Killer being one of the more iconic villains of the sub-genre, they’ve taken on fresh life thanks to a ton of new merchandise for the reboot. Now, ahead of the hook-centric carnage, Hewitt has teamed up with BFFs & Babes for their latest horror collection.

BFFs & Babes‘ I Know What You Did Last Summer series is very college town-inspired with sweaters looking like your blood-soaked alma mater coming back with a vengeance. The franchise acronym “IKWYDLS” is on every design. There are three “Varsity” sweatshirts that come in black, brown, and blue for $68 USD each. Hewitt’s most iconic line “What are you waiting for?” appears on the sleeve of these sweatshirts. The last sweatshirt in this set is the “Hook” design that sees The Fisherman Killer’s favorite weapon of choice under the “IKWYDLS” text. 97 and 25 also represent the year of the original and the latest film. This will also be $68. The final two pieces of this collection are matching “Varsity” hats that come in black and blue. These will be $40 each.

I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer

This new collaboration is just the latest I Know What You Did Last Summer apparel collection in the lead up to the new film. Cavity Colors has also been hard at work honoring the almost 30-year-old franchise with collections for both the ’97 original and the upcoming installment. The latter set featured the brand-new cast, including Madelyn Cline, Chase Su Wonders, Sarah Pigeon, Tyriq Withers, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Joshua Orpin, and Jonah Hauer-King.

While the film has a brand-new cast of characters, I Know What You Did Last Summer starts off with a very familiar inciting incident. A group of teenagers causes an accident on the 4th of July weekend which kills someone. They keep it a secret for a year, but an unknown person in a fisherman’s outfit starts killing them one-by-one. Someone knows what they did. Because of this, they seek out the help of Julie James (Hewitt) and Ray Bronson (Prinze Jr.) before they’re all fish food. This sequel comes from director Jenifer Kaytin Robinson, who’s best known for the well-received Netflix teen comedy Do Revenge.

When Does ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Release?

I Know What You Did Last Summer releases in theaters on July 18, 2025. You can buy your tickets now on Fandango’s website. The original is also streaming on FuboTV and Amazon Prime Video. Before your next run in with The Fisherman Killer, you can order Hewitt’s and BFFs & Babes IKWYDLS collection on their website. It’s expected to ship between July 15th and 16th. That’s just in time for the new film.
