Beauty and the Geek Star, 34, Charged with Murdering Her Partner in Australian Home

A former contestant from Beauty and the Geek, reportedly, has been charged with murder following the discovery of her partner’s body in Port Lincoln, South Australia. However, due to a suppression order, her name can’t be revealed.

Authorities responded to a small fire at a Flinders Highway residence on the afternoon of June 19, 2025, only to uncover the deceased man inside. This woman, who remains unnamed due to a court suppression order, was arrested at the scene and later charged with murder. South Australia Police confirmed that both the accused and the victim lived together and were known to each other. While specific details of the cause of death remain undisclosed, Assistant Commissioner Ian Parrott described the scene as “very complex” and stated that investigators are still working through several aspects of the case.

The accused was initially taken to a local hospital before being charged, and she appeared in court via phone link on June 20, 2025. She was refused police bail and remains in custody under the Mental Health Act. Forensic teams reportedly continue their investigation, and the matter is expected to return to court in December. The whole situation, however, has led people to launch all kinds of speculations about who exactly it might be.

Kiera Johnstone Clapped Back at Rumors at Once

Following the arrest, speculation erupted online, wrongly linking Kiera Johnstone, winner of Beauty and the Geek 2021, to the alleged crime. On Sunday, June 22, 2025, however, Johnstone released a public Instagram statement on her stories, as per DailyMail, firmly denying any involvement. “I have never been charged with a crime,” she wrote. “I’ve never even had a parking fine.” She added that the speculation was “incredibly upsetting” and condemned those spreading misinformation.

Johnstone, who rose to national recognition after winning the show with Lachlan Mansell, expressed concern over the damaging and invasive nature of internet rumors. She noted that while no official names had been released, people had begun posting assumptions and screenshots implicating her. “This is not entertainment,” she said. “This is a serious situation that involves real victims. You’re literally sick if you think this is at all funny.” She concluded by saying this would be the only time she addressed the speculation, thanking those who reached out with “kindness and common sense.”
