‘The Old Guard 2’s Rotten Tomatoes Score Suggests This Action Franchise May Not Be Immortal at All

After five years, Charlize Theron’s action sequel is finally streaming on Netflix, but what are critics saying about the film? The Old Guard 2 was released today, and along with it came reviews for the film, which paint a much different story than the original. At the time of writing, The Old Guard 2 has come to rest at a disastrous 32% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. This comes from 19 reviews, so it is subject to change, but a large enough sample size to cause concern. This falls devastatingly short of the original Old Guard movie, which earned a “certified fresh” 80% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
