Kelly Ripa never hesitates to share a cheeky overshare—and her latest confession might be her most hilariously risqué yet. The queen of on-air TMI admitted she took “indecent photos” in front of a towering image of ABC anchor David Muir. While it’s not exactly clear what these NSFW photos were, the whole situation unfolded hilariously.
During the July 1 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, Ripa welcomed ABC’s World News Tonight anchor David Muir with her signature flair, calling him “Commander Handsome” before casually revealing that she had taken very indecent photos in front of a portrait of him inside their new ABC studio headquarters in downtown Manhattan. The overshare comes after the studio move — part of ABC’s shift to its new 7 Hudson Square location, which has brought Ripa, and her co-host husband Mark Consuelos, into closer proximity with Muir and other major ABC talents.
As Muir noted, “there are terrifying, gigantic images of all of us in this building,” including a large shot of him riding in a helicopter, which Consuelos admitted he admired. That’s when Ripa dropped the not-so-subtle bombshell that she may have taken her admiration to a whole new level. While cameras were rolling and the audience was roaring with laughter, Ripa decided to double down on the whole situation in the following words:
“I’ve got to tell you, I have some very indecent photos of me standing in front of your picture. I can’t show them on air. They told me it was not suitable for broadcast.”

On the June 30 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, the 54-year-old talk show host admitted she doesn’t love being six months older than her co-host spouse — and jokingly “resents” the fact that he doesn’t seem to age. While Ripa poked fun at her own battle with grays, she noted Consuelos is only just beginning to show silver strands.
This wasn’t Ripa’s first on-air confession about the struggle to stay glam. Back in June 2024, she admitted to spending nearly 12 hours in a salon trying to cover up her grays, only to discover a few stubborn ones still sticking out. Despite Mark encouraging her to embrace her natural hair, Ripa admitted she’s not quite there yet. In fact, to level the playing field, Ripa even tried Consuelos’ intense high-protein diet leading up to the Oscars to fit into her gown — and it worked.
