Netflix is no stranger to adapting iconic novels into popular movies and TV shows, and one of the latest creations from the streamer just got an exciting update. Netflix has officially debuted the first trailer for My Oxford Year, the coming-of-age drama starring Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest. The film will be released on the streamer on August 1, and it’s based on the novel of the same name by Julia Whelan, with Allison Burnett and Melissa Osborne writing the screenplay and Iain Morris directing. My Oxford Year will also star Dougray Scott, Catherine McCormack, Harry Trevaldwyn, Esmé Kingdom, Nikhil Parmar, Poppy Gilbert, Romina Cocca, Yadier Fernández, Nia Anisah, and Hugh Coles. Caroline Levy, Sofia Carson, Laura Char Carson, Christopher Simon, Maggie Monteith, and Pete Harris will produce.
