Return to the Infinity Saga With New Captain America and Spider-Man Funko Pop! Figures [Exclusive]

Every superhero has another side when the mask comes off, and some are just as iconic as their costumed counterparts. Funko and Target are now playing to that fact by covering two of the biggest heroes of the MCU’s Infinity Saga with two instantly recognizable secret identities as part of their Marvel Selects line. For July, the retailer is releasing two new split Pop! figures of Captain America and Spider-Man that are divided between their heroic public personas and their lives as Steve Rogers and Peter Parker. Before they arrive on store shelves and Target’s Marvel Selects page, Collider has an exclusive look at both collectibles that take direct inspiration from their film counterparts played by Chris Evans and Tom Holland.

The two figures show the superheroes with half of their bodies dressed in their costumes and the other half showing their street clothes. For Cap, that means donning one half of his brown leather jacket and wielding two shields, one for each of his identities. Spidey, meanwhile, is half covered in his Iron Spider Armor suit from Stark Industries, making him look especially uneven with only a couple of spider legs on his left. Compared to other more traditional Pop! figures, they’re unique collectibles, showing that the two heroes need both sides of their lives to be complete. Rogers’s story as a courageous man out of time who understands that real strength goes beyond physical powers and Parker’s as a young man balancing the life of a normal, responsible high-school student with his heroic duties make them all the more compelling. Standing at around 3.9 inches tall, both items will be available for $14.99.

Evans and Holland’s depictions of The First Avenger and the wallcrawler, respectively, helped define the course of the Infinity Saga. Starting with Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011, which followed Rogers’s transformation into a supersoldier and his battle to stop the Red Skull’s plans for world domination, Evans’s Cap went on a six-film journey that saw him become one of the driving forces of the Avengers and in setting the tone for the MCU. Since Avengers: Endgame, the star has since returned to the franchise in a cameo for Deadpool & Wolverine in his old role as Johnny Storm, but his character’s legacy is now left to live on through his old pal, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie). Holland, meanwhile, helped launch a new era of Spider-Man, starting with Captain America: Civil War and eventually, his first solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. His multiversal outing, Spider-Man: No Way Home, also linked three separate Spidey timelines together while opening the door to all sorts of possibilities for the web-slinger with its eerie finale that erased all memories of Peter Parker.

What Does the Future Hold for Spider-Man and Captain America in the MCU?

While other prominent figures from the Infinity Saga still have more stories to tell, whether as their original characters or, in Downey Jr.’s case, an entirely new one, Evans has debunked claims that he’ll be back in the fold. The shield is firmly in the hands of Wilson, who just got his first solo outing earlier this year with Captain America: Brave New World. He’ll continue to carry the mantle going forward in Anthony and Joe Russo‘s big crossover movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, which are now due out on December 18, 2026 and December 17, 2027. At the very least, Rogers’s old pal Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is still around too as part of the Thunderbolts*/New Avengers and will reunite with Wilson next year.

An Infinity Saga character who will be returning, however, is Holland’s Peter Parker. Work on his MCU comeback, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, has been ramping up quickly of late, with pre-production underway before cameras begin rolling in Glasgow in August. The long-awaited follow-up to his memory-wiping final appearance has also added some exciting cast members so far, with the latest creating a surprising Daredevil: Born Again connection as Jon Bernthal looks to reprise his role as Frank Castle, aka the Punisher. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also coming back as MJ and Ned, with Stranger Things‘s Sadie Sink coming aboard in a mystery role alongside The Bear‘s Liza Colón-Zayas. Daniel Destin Cretton will take the reins, guiding the film to a July 31, 2026 release. Thus far, however, he hasn’t been confirmed for the new Avengers films, but he may still appear even without a chair of his own being revealed.

Funko’s new Captain America and Spider-Man split Pop! figures are coming soon to your local Target and the Marvel Selects page on the store’s official website. Get an exclusive look at the new collectibles in the gallery above.
