After an incredible dance with the devil on the big screen, Ryan Coogler‘s smash hit Sinners is set to follow viewers home for Independence Day. Max announced that the killer vampire flick starring dual Michael B. Jordans will be available on the streaming platform starting on July 4, just in time for a bloody-fun holiday weekend. The film has been the big surprise of 2025 at the box office, getting audiences buzzing despite no ties to an existing franchise and earning a cool $362 million globally. Subscribers will now have a chance to catch the defining film of the first half of the year and the biggest original horror feature opening since Jordan Peele‘s Us.

Sinners introduces identical twins Smoke and Stack Moore (both Jordan), who seek a fresh start back in their hometown in Mississippi. They decide to open up a juke joint for the local Black community, rallying together old friends and family to prepare for opening night. When the big debut of their new business comes, however, their night takes a horrific turn with the arrival of supernatural creatures. What started as a cause for celebration, soul, and music turns into a fight to survive that will change their lives forever before the sun comes up. Oozing with ties to Black heritage, the Blues, and centuries of Irish history, the film also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Miles Caton, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Delroy Lindo, and Omar Wilson, among others.
