‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Season 2 Promises “More Hamm” in Fantastic Filming Update

Your Friends & Neighbors is without a doubt everyone’s current favorite Apple TV+ dark comedy, and we just can’t wait for more Jon Hamm. The highly loved series debuted on the platform on Friday, April 11, 2025, with its first two episodes: “This Is What Happens” and “Deuce.” In no time, it was renewed for a second season, but without a return date announced. Nevertheless, Apple TV+ has fantastic news as they’ve confirmed via their social media page that Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbors is now in production, promising “more Hamm on the way.”

Although the dramedy shares the same name and genre as the 1998 film of the same name, they’re in no way related. Led by Hamm, Your Friends & Neighbors follows his character Andrew “Coop” Cooper, a New York hedge fund manager, recently divorced and fired in disgrace. Because of his unemployment, he resorts to stealing from his neighbors’ homes in the affluent Westmont Village to maintain his lifestyle and keep his family living to the standard to which they have become accustomed, only to discover that the secrets hidden behind the wealthy facades might be more dangerous.

In addition to the Mad Men star, the first season of Your Friends & Neighbors stars Amanda Peet as Mel Cooper, Coop’s ex-wife, and Olivia Munn as Samantha “Sam” Levitt, the estranged wife of Paul Levitt (a recurring character portrayed by Jordan Gelber). Sam is also Mel’s friend, who is in a complicated on-and-off sexual relationship with Coop. Others on the main cast list are Hoon Lee as Barney Choi, Coop’s business manager; Mark Tallman as Nick Brandes, Coop’s former best friend, and Mel’s new boyfriend; Lena Hall as Allison “Ali” Cooper, Coop’s mentally-struggling younger sister; Isabel Marie Gravitt as Tori Cooper, Coop’s daughter and Donovan Colan as Hunter Cooper, Coop’s son.

‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Creator Teases Another Direction for Season 2

Created by Jonathan Tropper, Your Friends & Neighbors Season 1 comprised nine dramatic episodes that ended on Friday, May 30, with that grand finale, “Everything Becomes Symbol and Irony,” written and directed by Tropper. The season has earned a solid 81% rating from both critics and audience on Rotten Tomatoes, establishing its excellence. Now, with the sophomore season in the works, fans can expect an even better production as the creator himself teased an unexpected direction via an interview with Collider, saying:

“Now that we’re well into writing Season 2, we’ve discovered some new stuff. I hadn’t thought all the way through Season 2, and we’ve certainly gone in a direction I may not have anticipated when I was writing Season 1.

Your Friends & Neighbors Season 2 has no premiere date yet, but all episodes of Season 1 are streaming on Apple TV+. Stay tuned to Collider for future information.
