Although he may be forced to stay quiet when he’s in character on the set of The Boys, Nathan Mitchell, who appears in the series as Black Noir, made his thoughts about the upcoming fifth and final season known. During a recent conversation with ScreenRant, the actor gave some insight into what to expect from the next set of episodes as a whole and also from his character. For a brief refresher, Black Noir was viciously torn inside out (literally) by Homelander (Antony Starr) in the Season 3 finale, yet he mysteriously reappeared during the latest fourth season. Eventually, it was revealed that the man under the mask was an actor hired by Vought to keep up appearances, which gave Mitchell a chance to take off the mask, show his face, and even land a few lines.

Sharing his enthusiasm about the new Noir’s journey over the next season, Mitchell said,

“Ah, man. I am excited for the audience to see more new Noir in season 5. I think we learn more about him, and I think it’s a fun ride.”

He was also eager to drop some details that he thinks will blow viewers’ minds and allow the show to go out in an explosive, bloody bang, adding,

“There are character arcs, journeys, and very gross moments in season 5 that you are not expecting. Where we go with certain characters, you’re going to be like, ‘Oh, I knew we were going somewhere, but I didn’t know we were going there!’ I think it is going to be an amazing conclusion, and I can’t wait to share this journey with the fans.”
