While they wait for news of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, fans will have something to look forward to this summer. The previously announced compilation movie Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death is coming to theaters, and GKIDS decided to tease it by unveiling the English dub trailer of the upcoming movie. The premiere has an event-like schedule, with a release slated for July 16 and 17 only. So if you want to see Yuji Itadori (voiced by Jun’ya Enoki in the original Japanese and by Adam McArthur in the English dub) and Satoru Gojo (Yūichi Nakamura/Kaiji Tang) on the big screen, this will be your only chance.

As you probably know, a compilation film is the kind of feature that selects some highlights from a season of a particular anime series and explores its theatrical potential. In this case, we will see arcs that include the story of fan-favorite characters Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto (Takahiro Sakurai/Lex Lang), and delve into the reasons why they started off as friends but became enemies. Fans already witnessed it, but there’s a whole different feel of experiencing it on the silver screen.

Additionally, Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death will offer important new content for fans. Along with the theatrical release, the compilation movie will also be screened with a special episode titled “Jojo Stroll.” So far, we don’t know much about it except that it’s a change of pace for the franchise and that it will center around some down-to-earth adventures that Satoru, Suguro, and Shoko Ieiri (Aya Endo/Ryan Bartley) experience in their rare moments of leisure.

When Can We Expect ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ Season 3?

This is the question on every Jujutsu Kaisen fan’s mind. Even though it has already been confirmed that the global hit anime series is returning for Season 3, a release window seems blurry at best. This might change in the beginning of July, since the anime will have its own segment at this year’s Anime Expo. At this point, any news will be welcomed by fans, since the’ve been on the lookout for almost two years — Season 2 wrapped its run in December 2023.
