After much anticipation, and a two-year wait, Ginny & Georgia Season 3 has officially been released. The suspenseful and emotional installment picks up right after Georgia (Brianne Howey) has been arrested for the murder of Tom Fuller (Vincent Legault), moments after marrying Paul (Scott Porter). Over the course of the season, Georgia goes on trial, and Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) deal with the public fallout from the trial, as well as the sudden shift in Wellsbury’s public opinion of Georgia.
Each season of Ginny & Georgia is continuously better than the last, inspiring big hopes for Season 4 (which has already been greenlit). The series has been very intentional with its overarching direction, as it heightens both the physical and emotional stakes in both Georgia and Ginny’s lives each season. “Feelings Are Hard”
Season 1, Episode 9
Most of Ginny & Georgia‘s best episodes occur in its second and third seasons, but the penultimate episode of Season 1, “Feelings Are Hard,” is an especially strong installment. Ginny & Georgia always does penultimate episodes well, as they see the culmination of each season’s main storylines, while the season finales then deal with the fallout. In “Feelings Are Hard,” Ginny and Marcus (Felix Mallard)’s fling builds up to a feelings confession between the two of them, only for Max (Sara Waisglass) to then find out about their relationship in a cliffhanger moment.
Georgia is torn between Paul and Zion (Nathan Mitchell), but her love life is the least of her problems. Austin finds out that Georgia has been keeping his letters from Gil (Aaron Ashmore), and he pushes her to get back in touch with him, which later has major consequences in the following season. Cynthia (Sabrina Grdevich) continues to try to expose Georgia for embezzling money, while Cordova (Alex Mallari Jr.) digs into her past by looking more into the suspicious circumstances surrounding Kenny’s (Darryl Scheelar) death and subsequent burial.

“A Very Merry Ginny & Georgia Christmas Special”
Season 2, Episode 6
Ginny & Georgia Season 2 has a number of strong episodes, as Georgia tries to keep Cordova from finding out about her past kills, and Ginny grapples with her own complicated feelings about the things that Georgia has done to protect her and Austin. In Season 2, Episode 6, “A Very Merry Ginny & Georgia Christmas Special,” the Millers end up hosting an incredibly awkward Christmas Eve dinner with both Zion and Paul’s families in attendance.
This is a particularly heavy episode, as the initial drama between the three families paves the way for more emotional revelations. Austin finds Georgia’s gun, and Georgia finds Ginny’s journal. The latter discovery leads to a heartbreaking conversation between Georgia and Ginny, as Georgia is devastated to learn just how much Ginny has been suffering without telling her about what she’s been going through.

“Monsters”
Season 3, Episode 10
The Season 3 finale of Ginny & Georgia, titled “Monsters,” is an intense and shocking episode that leaves a number of storylines open to explore in Season 4. Georgia is found not guilty of the murder of Tom Fuller early on in the episode after Austin’s false confession that he saw Gil commit the crime. The rest of the installment deals with the aftermath of Austin’s lie and Georgia’s victory, as Georgia has suddenly gained a great deal of widespread support throughout Wellsbury.
This is a fascinating episode that shows how Ginny was able to manipulate the trial to protect Georgia, while Georgia had to process what both of her children sacrificed in order to keep her from going to prison. Max’s fallout with the rest of MANG comes to a head, and Marcus finally goes to rehab for his drinking problem. The episode ends with a wild cliffhanger, as Georgia learns that she is pregnant, although she doesn’t yet know if the father is Joe (Raymond Ablack) or Paul.

“Kill Gil”
Season 2, Episode 9
The last two episodes of Ginny & Georgia Season 2 are especially intense, as Gil continues to insert himself even more in the lives of the Millers, and Cordova learns even more details about Georgia’s past through the course of his investigation. The penultimate episode of Season 3, “Kill Gil,” builds up to a mysterious gunshot three days before it occurred. The episode escalates until Austin ultimately shoots Gil to protect Georgia.
“Kill Gil” uses a creative storytelling structure that works very well, and that fills viewers with a sense of dread throughout the episode. The escalation of Georgia’s two major threats this season feels organic. Gil blackmails Georgia and shows up to the house unannounced, and Cordova reports Georgia as a suspect in Tom Fuller’s death. This final moment, in particular, sets the stage for Season 3’s main conflict, and the buildup to this moment feels very earned.

“Boom Goes the Dynamite”
Season 3, Episode 5
In a lot of ways, it feels like the entirety of Ginny & Georgia up until this point has been building up to Season 3, Episode 5, “Boom Goes the Dynamite.” The episode sees a major wrench thrown in Georgia’s trial after Cordova brings up her past kills and publicly accuses her of being a serial killer. A number of Georgia’s former allies turn on her, and Ginny’s old poem goes viral, being used as further evidence against Georgia.
The ending of this episode is incredibly well-done, as Georgia puts her own feelings aside to be there for Ginny when she needs her the most. Sadly, though, Zion and Gil have just reported Georgia to CPS in order to gain custody of their children. The episode ends with Ginny and Austin being taken away from Georgia, as a hopeless and devastated Georgia falls to the ground. “Boom Goes the Dynamite” is an important turning point for both the season and the series, as Georgia’s previous kills are no longer a secret. Even after being found innocent at the end of the season, the suspicions related to Georgia’s kills will always be out there, as will Zion’s betrayal of her.

“It’s Time for My Solo”
Season 3, Episode 9
The penultimate episode of Ginny & Georgia Season 3, “It’s Time for My Solo,” breaks structure in a really compelling and emotionally satisfying way. For the entirety of the season, Max’s feelings have been disregarded by everyone in her lives. MANG keeps excluding her, Silver (Katelyn Wells) doesn’t listen to her, and her mom (Jennifer Robertson) keeps pushing her to take care of Marcus as his mental health worsens.
Max puts everything aside to perform in the musical, but it all boils over, and she ultimately goes to her parents about Marcus’ problem with alcohol. Meanwhile, Ginny takes Georgia’s trial into her own hands, and she convinces Simone (Vinessa Antoine) to step in as Georgia’s new lawyer. Behind the scenes, Ginny does much more to protect Georgia, although this doesn’t get revealed until the season finale. The episode ends with a shocking twist, in which Austin takes the stand in court and claims that he saw Gil murder Tom Fuller.

“I’m No Cinderella”
Season 2, Episode 10
Ginny & Georgia has had a number of fantastic episodes, but it’s hard to top Georgia getting arrested at her own fairytale wedding in the Season 2 finale. The entire season builds up to Georgia’s wedding to Paul, as well as the growing success of Cordova’s investigation into her past kills of her husband, and they intersect in an especially shocking and powerful way.
It’s such great television when Georgia finally gets to marry Paul and ensure her and the kids’ stability in Wellsbury, only to then be taken away in handcuffs right after. This episode is an emotional end to the season, as Marcus and Ginny finally have a heart-to-heart about his depression, and Paul steps in to get Gil to leave Georgia alone. Ultimately, the framing of the build-up to Georgia and Paul’s wedding is so well done, and her arrest is an unforgettable moment.
