In addition to having a huge library of movies and TV shows, the NBCUniversal platform has one really cool extra feature — if a movie or show has a particularly high Rotten Tomatoes score, it shows up in the app!
This is definitely handy when you’re choosing your next watch. Watch With Us is highlighting three new movies Peacock has added this month with an RT score of over 90 percent.

‘Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret.’ (2023)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 99 percent
This movie is an extremely rare phenomenon — an essentially perfect adaptation of a beloved novel. Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume is one of the most influential coming-of-age stories of all time, and the film version captures the emotional depth of the relatively simple story with admirable nuance. Margaret Simon (the very talented Abby Ryder Forston) is devastated when her parents (Rachel McAdams and Benny Safdie) decide to move from New York City to suburban New Jersey.
As she tackles a new school and new, puberty-obsessed friends, she begins to question aspects of her identity, including her religious views. One fantastic element that the movie adds to the story is Margaret’s mother, Barbara, in her own quest for identity as she tries to find satisfaction as a stay-at-home mom. It’s a beautiful, warm hug of a film. That’s probably why it has 99 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
‘Milk’ (2008)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 93 percent
This historical biopic is the powerful story of Harvey Milk (Sean Penn), the first openly gay man elected to public office in California. (He was elected to the San Francisco board of supervisors in 1977.)

The movie follows Milk’s entry into politics and his fight for gay rights in 1970s San Francisco — as well as his working relationship with fellow supervisor Dan White (Josh Brolin), the man who would ultimately assassinate Milk and Mayor George Moscone (Victor Garber). Milk is a powerful movie about the fight for civil rights, and it captures the hope, optimism and emotional scope of the era. These themes, plus the strong performances by Penn and the rest of the cast, are why it earns a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 93 percent.
‘The Ballad of Wallis Island’ (2025)
Rotten Tomatoes score: 96 percent
This new British indie film is already an underrated gem when it comes to American audiences. It holds a 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and tells the story of a lonely lottery winner named Charles (Tim Key) who uses his winnings to stage a private show on the small, isolated Welsh island where he lives. The performers? Both halves of a long, broken-up folk duo, McGwyer Mortimer. The problem? McGwyer has no idea that Mortimer is going to be there.

As Charles attempts to reunite the musicians — struggling solo artist Herb McGwyer (Tom Basden) and musical retiree Nell Mortimer (Carey Mulligan) — all three of them are forced to confront the emotions they’ve been running away from. It’s a sweet and funny film about nostalgia, grief and moving on from loss. The small cast’s chemistry is really fun, and the music isn’t half bad either.
