We all felt the rising heartbeats when Karen (Deborah Ann Woll), Matt (Charlie Cox), and Frank (Jon Bernthal) all came together in the Daredevil: Born Again finale. The tension could be cut with a knife, and fans want more of it. Despite going through a massive creative overhaul behind the scenes, Born Again stuck its landing in Matt’s standalone adventure and seems like the makers are going to bestow fans with more of Matt and Karen’s chemistry in Season 2.
A new image, shared on Reddit by a fan, shows season 2 filming in a familiar location; the Indian restaurant Panna II Garden in the East Village, which served as a location in Netflix’s Daredevil season 2 episode 5, where Matt and Karen go for their first date. The location left a mark on the fans with its colorful setting, amazing cinematography, and the moment Cox and Woll created. Seems like Born Again season 2 is revisiting the location after there was palpable tension between Matt and Karen in the first season. Nonetheless, what happens there is anyone’s guess.
What to Expect from ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2?
To see Matt return without Karen and Foggy (Elden Henson) was unfathomable for Daredevil fans, which was brilliantly course-corrected by showrunner Chris Ord during the creative overhaul. But it came at a great cost as we lost Foggy in the first episode itself, and Karen was sparsely seen throughout the season. Nonetheless, the final episode brought her back in full force as we see Matt and his army preparing to go up against Kingpin.
Cox previously confirmed that we’ll be seeing “a lot” of Karen in Born Again season 2 as he effused, “some of the stuff she’s up to is some of the coolest stuff she’s ever had.” And mind it we have seen Karen doing some epic shit during the original series and in The Punisher, so it’d be interesting to see what she’s up to, as Cox teased, “She’s amazing in this season.” Along with Cox and Woll, it was recently revealed that the series will also bring back one of the Defenders, Jessica Jones, played by Kristen Ritter during the Netflix era.
