Ryan Murphy has found his latest muse for what will become the fourth season of his dramatized true-crime series, Monster, but, this time, he’s going a different route. In the first two seasons, he told the stories of Jeffrey Dahmer and Lyle and Erik Menendez, respectively, while the upcoming third installment will follow the life and crimes committed by Ed Gein. But, Season 4 is set to put its focus on Lizzie Borden, who, unlike the men she’s now forced to keep company with, was acquitted of the brutal murders of her father and stepmother in 1892. According to Variety, the team is on track to pick up cameras and get to work in the fall, but Netflix has yet to announce the title’s renewal, so we’ll need to wait for specifics. Meanwhile, we’re still sitting at the edge of our seats waiting for the streamer to give us an update about Season 3, which will see Sons of Anarchy alum, Charlie Hunnam, as the Wisconsin serial killer known as The Butcher of Plainfield, aka Gein.
