The Terminal List universe is officially expanding — and it looks like the mission is just getting started. Prime Video has dropped the first trailer for The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, the high-octane spin-off prequel starring Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch, and it wastes no time diving headfirst into the explosive origin story of Ben Edwards.
Premiering August 27, Dark Wolf brings back Pratt as Navy SEAL-turned-avenger James Reece and shifts the spotlight to Kitsch’s Ben Edwards — a fan-favorite from Season 1 whose past is now at the center of the action. The series will launch with three episodes on day one, followed by weekly releases every Wednesday through the season finale on September 24.
This time around, we’re going deep into the shadows. The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is set before the events of the original series, tracing Edwards’ transformation from elite Navy operator to covert CIA asset. Prime Video is calling the spin-off “a gripping espionage thriller that explores the dark side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.” And judging by the trailer, they’re not exaggerating.
In addition to leading the cast, Pratt and Kitsch also executive produce alongside The Terminal List author Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua, and showrunner David DiGilio. The ensemble cast is stacked, including Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw.
What Else Can We Expect from ‘The Terminal List’?
The first season of The Terminal List was a massive hit for Prime Video, delivering a psychological action thriller that resonated with viewers for both its gritty realism and unflinching take on trauma. The upcoming second season promises to take things even further — and according to Pratt, it’s “un-f****** real.”
Speaking to Collider’s Steve Weintraub earlier this year, Pratt teased where things are heading:
“I just got back from Africa. We’ve already started filming. It’s going to be un-f******-real, dude. I’m telling you. The footage we’ve gotten already — we’ve set the bar so high for ourselves.”
Where Season 1 leaned into an unreliable narrator and conspiracy-laced paranoia, Season 2 is pivoting into global spycraft — and Dark Wolf will be laying the groundwork.
“It seeds a lot of the characters that appear in the second book. So, the Mo Farooq character, the Raife Hastings character… we’ll get to know them through that series. So by the time they come into this, it’s going to be out of this world, dude.”
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premieres August 27 on Prime Video with new episodes weekly.
